The majority of the ancestors of the Mendota Mdewakanton Dakota Community can be traced back to Mendota, Minnesota in the 1700's. This non-profit organization is dedicated to preserving our Dakota heritage. We have over 250 known members and we meet monthly at the Mendota VFW in Mendota, Minnesota.
